"Melody Taninies has stayed in our home and taken care of our Italian Mastiff, Gracie. She came and met Gracie and they liked each other immediately. We had put Gracie in a Kennel at a Veterinarian’s office previously and Gracie was always very stressed and sick afterward. When we got home from our trip after Gracie spending several days with Melody, she was healthy, calm and very happy. Melody stayed in touch, left a great note that spoke to the experience and cleaned up our home better than how she found it. Gracie loves Melody and so do we!"

"I would highly recommend Melody to anyone needing someone to care for their pets in their home while away. I know her personally and there is no one I would trust more. I know she loves my dog(s), and I know she will take good care of them and my home. Just please don’t hire her when I need her."

"I highly recommend Melody Taninies to care for your pet. My Bubbie (dog) loves her. I have used Melody’s services several times. It gives me a peace of mind that my treasured dog child is left in good hands when I travel. Melody is caring, reliable and excellent in the services she provides."

"It is obvious to me that Melody has a special place in her heart for animals. She has texted me while at my home to ask where the dogs’ brush is located. She lets the dogs sleep in the same room with her. Upon my return my dogs are calm which indicates to me that they’ve had plenty of attention. My older dog, Pepper, who is arthritic, even gets up with her tail wagging to see Melody when she comes in the door!"

"Sadie was 15 years old, and Bill and I had taken our daughter to St. Louis to begin her senior year of college. On Friday evening, we received a call from Melody at about 10:00pm. Something “strange” had happened to Sadie. As Melody described what had happened, we thought that perhaps Sadie had had a seizure and, indeed, she had. This had never happened before, and we were quite worried. After all, Sadie was 15 years old. Bill and I left right away and drove all night to get home to Sadie. After the seizure, Sadie had settled in one of her favorite spots in the kitchen, sleeping on the cool tile floor. Not wanting Sadie to be alone if something else were to happen, Melody brought a pillow and blanket into the kitchen and spend the whole night laying on the hard tile floor next to Sadie!! Knowing that we would be afraid of waking her up if we called, she called us about every hour to let us know that Sadie was still doing okay. We arrived home at 4:30 in the morning to find Melody on the floor with Sadie, who appeared to be doing just fine. Little did we know that that was the beginning of the end. We lost Sadie two weeks later to unrelenting seizures. But I don’t know of anyone else who would have given Sadie that much love and that much compassion in our absence. I was so thankful that Sadie was with her during that scarry night."

"Our dogs love her and she takes excellent care of them. What we like most is that she stays at our home while we are gone so they can be in their own space and familiar surroundings and, of course, there is the added benefit of having someone in our convent while we are gone."

"When I first met her Melody, I liked her right away because she had a calm demeanor and got right down to our dog’s level to greet them. They seemed very comfortable with her. Melody has a true love of animals and is able to relate to each one on an individual basis. We have complete confidence in her judgment and reliability and most of all on her kindness towards our animals. She has administered medication as well as their more basic requirements and we can enjoy our travels knowing they are being looked after by someone who truly cares for their welfare."
